The first bits of the 2022-23 schedule for the Daemen Wildcats have been released as Head Coach Mike MacDonald announced that the Wildcats will open the season against Georgian Court University and Saint Anselm College. The East Region Challenge, hosted by Daemen, is back after a two-year layoff due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Wildcats will take on Georgian Court of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference on Friday, November 11th at 7 p.m. They will then cap the tournament with a 2 p.m. tilt with Northeast-10 foe Saint Anselm on Saturday.

Daemen’s 2022-23 expectations are up in the air as they will be without the school’s all-time leading scorer, a three-time All-American, and four-time Conference Player of the Year Andrew Sischo, who graduated this spring. He averaged 22.9 points and 13 rebounds last year as Daemen posted a 20-9 overall record and a near-flawless 16-2 conference mark. They advanced to the East Coast Conference championship game.

The first two games are the only two yet to be announced by Daemen thus far with the remaining portion of the non-conference schedule expected to be known in September.
